February 24, 2025. In today’s flag raising ceremony, two non-teaching employees were awarded with certificate of recognition from the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) chaired by the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Paulino P. Reyes II.

Ms. Jemelyn W. Magsilao was commended for her exemplary honesty in finding and returning the Android phone of Ms. Brenalyn B. Liw-liw and Ms. Shenel S. Lambayog that she found in the comfort room of the College of Natural Health and Sciences (CHNS) Building. Similarly, Mr. Andrew E. Nalog was recognized for his honesty in finding and returning the wallet of Mr. Don Alfred M. Viloria, the he found at the KSU exit gate.

Meanwhile, Ms. Sharmaine D. Codiam, head of the General Services Office (GSO), awarded both Ms. Magsilao and Mr. Nalog a cash gift of 500 pesos each to acknowledge their service.

Both actions exemplify the university’s core value of promoting a strong sense of service orientation and commitment.

A spot award is a spontaneous acknowledgment of outstanding performance and exemplary behavior, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and integrity among its employees.
