Kalinga State University actively participated in the CHED Zonal Creativity Summit 2024 for Northern Luzon, held on October 17, 2024, at the University of Baguio Gymnasium. With the theme “Bayang Pinagpala, Laking Manlilikha”, the summit brought together SUCs to celebrate creativity, innovation, and academic collaboration.

KSU’s delegation was led by Dr. Lope Buen, Vice President for Research and Extension, alongside Dr. Divina Balocnit, Director of Extension, Dr. Loneza G. Carbonel, Director of Research, and Dr. Imelda Agbisit. They were joined by Mr. Eric Paloy, Ms. Melanie Manuel, and the rest of the KSU team- the same team who represented the university at the 14th Joint Regional Symposium on RDE Highlights and the 7th Regional Student Research Congress, held at the Benguet State University, who successfully facilitated the installation of the university’s booth display. This display, showcased at the University of Baguio Gymnasium, highlighted KSU’s contributions to research and extension in the region.

University President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the KSU delegation for their untiring efforts and representation of the university. She acknowledged the challenges posed by the concurrent events and commended the team’s commitment to excellence.

Both Dr. Buen and Dr. Balocnit expressed their sincere thanks to the team, acknowledging the hard work and creative talents that went into preparing and managing both the booth display. Their efforts, despite the logistical complexities, resulted in a commendable presentation that garnered positive feedback from attendees at all events.
