Kalinga State University bagged the award under the Digital Interactive Media category during the awarding ceremony of the Mangwa Creative Festival on November 29 at the Davidson Hotel.

The Tabuk City Mangwa Creative Icons, organized by the city government and DTI-Kalinga, recognizes individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to the city’s cultural and creative sectors. These sectors include traditional cultural expression, performing arts, design, print media, audio-visual, and digital media.

The award was received by Dr. Karen RazelLe Duyan, Dean of the College of Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Hospitality Management, who represented University President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor and Mr. Eric Paloy, the Director for ICT.

In the same program, the Tourism and Hospitality Management students of Kalinga State University were awarded as champions of the Mangwa Creative Festival Table Setting and Skirting Competition and Culinary Challenge Competition. They were also awarded a Plaque of Appreciation, a Certificate of Recognition, and cash prizes of 20,000 and 25,000, respectively.
