Kalinga State University-Dagupan Campus conducted its turnover ceremony of leadership of designated campus officials today, January 06, 2025. The event was held at Room 104 & 105, Augusto S. Alejandro Hall, KSU-Dagupan Campus.
The turnover ceremony is a formal transfer of responsibility, authority, and accountability from outgoing campus officials to the newly designated campus officials. Dr. Abigail Q. Ocay, Dean, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences said, that the ceremony is a moment of transition, growth, and continuity, as they pass the torch of leadership, responsibility, and dedication to the next set of KSU- Dagupan Campus Officials. This ceremony serves as a reminder of the values they uphold and the shared purpose that unites us.
Administrative officer V, Mr. Ronaldo B. Daluping, highlighted the significant achievements and accomplishments of the Outgoing Campus Officials. In their message, Dr. James S. Guidangen, outgoing Campus Administration and Dr. Romualdo U. Wacas, outgoing CBAA Dean, expressed their gratitude to the teaching and non-teaching personnel for their dedication and hard work in all aspects in the attainment of the Mission, Vision, Goals and Objectives of the university. They reminded the student leaders, faculty members and non-teaching personal to continue to show their full support and cooperation to the incoming designated officials and to the administration.
In her acceptance message, Ms. Odette C. Pannogan, newly designated Campus Administrator, stressed the value of her designation that the goal is to create an environment where everyone can thrive and continue to build a culture of respect, inclusivity, and excellence. Likewise, Dr. Raquel J. Dulliyao, newly designated dean of CBAA, emphasized the importance of Ecclesiastes 3:1 which states that there is a time for everything and a season for every purpose. Dean Dulliyao added that this is an opportunity to lead and guide the young people to meet the objectives of the university and translate the vision of the university into reality.
Dr. Edgar Naganag, Professor IV and Mr. Christopher M. Cubit, Student Regent, expressed their congratulatory message highlighting the importance of transparency, fairness and justice. Dr. naganag said, that they should not be overshadowed with their designation instead use it for the improvement of the campus.
University President, Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, in her inspiring message, highlighted the importance of the ceremony that designations and positions come and go but the lessons learned will be remembered. She also re-assured the new designated officials that office of the president is always open to them, to listen to their queries and concerns. “As we continue to work together for a brighter future, open communication is very important, so let us not be bickering at the back of each other.” She added. //Nick Awisan-UIO
