Kalinga State University was among the higher education institutions (HEIs) that participated in a benchmarking visit to Sunway University, Malaysia, on February 26, 2025. The initiative aimed to explore potential partnerships between the participating HEIs and Sunway University, fostering academic collaboration and institutional growth.

The KSU delegation was composed of University President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, University and Board Secretary Dr. Perfelia R. Buen, and Director for Distance Education, Transnational Education, and International Linkages Dr. Pinky Larcelle L. Gas-ib. Their participation emphasized KSU’s commitment to strengthening international linkages and enhancing its academic programs through global collaboration.

During the visit, the delegation engaged in campus tours, including key facilities such as the university library and engineering laboratories. These visits provided valuable insights into Sunway University’s infrastructure, resources, and best practices in higher education.

The benchmarking activity served as a platform for networking and exchanging ideas on innovative educational strategies, research collaborations, and student mobility programs. It also opened discussions on potential academic agreements that could benefit KSU faculty, students, and researchers.
