Dr. Rhonjhon Garming and Engr. Christian Adora, faculty members of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, represented the university at the World Engineering, Science and Technology Congress (ESTCON) 2024. The event was held at the Sabah International Convention Center in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, from September 10-11, 2024.

Now in its 8th edition, ESTCON is a prestigious biennial congress organized by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in collaboration with PETRONAS GTS. The 2024 congress, themed “Future Positioning through Sustainable Energy, Digitalization, and Smart Community,” explored key issues surrounding energy transition and transformation, aimed at fostering sustainable living. In addition to addressing these pressing global challenges, the congress brought together experts across a broad range of disciplines, including innovation, engineering, technology, and the humanities.

This activity is just one of the take-off engagements of KSU to the UTP consortia which was recently arranged on June 21, 2024 through a Memorandum of Understanding signing held at Palawan State University.

By participating in this international event, Dr. Garming and Engr. Adora continue to strengthen Kalinga State University’s commitment to advancing knowledge and contributing to global discussions on sustainable development.//MJ Wacas-Info Unit
