Kalinga State University Research and Development, Extension and Training office, with its commitment of producing globally competitive, relevant, and innovative research outputs and extension projects, conducts its annual Agency In-house Review (AIHR) to assess the progress and performance of the university in achieving its goals and objectives.

The review is scheduled today and tomorrow, June 20-21, 2024, at RnD Hall, Bulanao Campus and involved researchers, various departments and unit heads within the university, including academic programs, administrative services, and evaluators from the different agencies.

It aims to monitor and evaluate completed research of the university and to review and come up with suggestions and recommendations from reputable evaluators that will help improve the research outputs presented.

Dr. Ferdinand L. Ganotice, Director for Research, explained the overview and mechanics of the program. As a member of the CorCAARRD, the evaluation of the research, development and extension outputs is among the consortium’s means of monitoring and evaluating the contributions of each member agency in the cordillera and the research and extension outputs of participants are categorized in two (2) namely the AAN, AFNR & IEET and NON-AANR: Education and Social Science, he added.

The review is composed of Team of Evaluators within their respective expertise. Under Technical (AANR and IEET) category are Dr. Ricardo B. Casauay, Mr. Neil Nemensio A. Baliuag and Ms. Jasmin Lee Donaal. Education Category is under the team of Dr. Carmelita T. Ayang-ang, Mr. Bobby S. Licudine and Ms. Deewaii B. Bagayao and Social and extension projects are under the team of Dr. Norfredo M. Dulay, Ms. May Lawagan- Bumatay and Dr. Christine Grace S. Fuchigami.

The two-day event is expected to turn up with comments and suggestions from identified evaluators. The awarding of winning papers and qualifiers for the 2024 Regional Symposium to be held this October will also be undertaken on the last day of the review.
