December 9, 2024. Kalinga State University and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Kalinga Provincial Office today signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to collaborate on various projects aimed at empowering the community. This partnership will focus on enhancing local entrepreneurship, providing skills training, and promoting sustainable development initiatives that benefit residents throughout the province.

The MOA signing ceremony, held at the DTI Building Conference Hall in Dagupan, Tabuk City, Kalinga, was attended by key representatives from both institutions.

The program commenced with an invocation led by a faculty member from the College of Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Hospitality Management (CETHM), Miss Valerie Abesamis. Mrs. Josephine Daliyong, DTI Representative, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. MS. Glory Anne Karen C. Caldingon, MSHM, the Project Leader, presented the rationale behind the partnership and the goals of the collaborative projects. PD Renie Ramos, DTI Kalinga Provincial Director, delivered a message emphasizing the importance of the partnerships in driving local development.

Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, SUC President III, expressed KSU’s commitment to community engagement and highlighted the potential impact of the partnership.

The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the MOA by representatives from both institutions.

Dean Karen Razelle M. Duyan of CETHM delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude for the successful collaboration and looking forward to future endeavors.

Through this partnership, KSU and DTI aim to create sustainable programs that will benefit the community by fostering entrepreneurship, promoting tourism, and enhancing livelihood opportunities. This collaboration exemplifies the commitment of both institutions to uplifting the lives of Kalinga residents.
