In line with the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service anniversary, Kalinga State University (KSU) actively participated in the “Blood Donation and Medical Consultation: Let’s Donate Blood Today” event organized by the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), in partnership with the Provincial Health Office and the Philippine Red Cross – Kalinga Chapter.

The event aimed to collect essential blood products that will help save the lives of patients while ensuring that health and safety measures are carefully evaluated. Ms. Vea April A. Abawag, a volunteer from the Philippine Red Cross, emphasized the significance of community-driven bloodletting events, explaining how they not only gather life-saving resources but also foster awareness about the donation process and its impact on patients in need.

“Blood donation is a simple act with a profound impact. We encourage everyone to become regular donors and help ensure that those in need have access to this vital resource,” she remarked.

The activity included blood drives and awareness campaigns designed to educate the public on the importance of blood donation. Beyond the collection of blood, the initiative strengthened community bonds and promoted health consciousness.
