Tabuk City, Kalinga- KSU President Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor joined Department of Tourism Regional Director Jovita A. Ganongan and OCTACA Department Head Ms. Arlene Ethel B. Odiem to participate in a countryside cookout event at Granzion Hotel. This event, happened today, December 9, 2024, was part of the DOT-CAR’s initiative to promote “under the radar” tourism destinations in the region.

The culinary expedition highlighted the collaboration between trained chefs and community cooks, showcasing the unique flavors and traditions of Kalinga. Students from the College of Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and Hospitality Management (CETHM) played a significant role in the event, with their winning dishes from the Mangwa Creative Festival Culinary Challenge and from the USLT International MICE Convention adding to the culinary experience.

The event was a proof to KSU’s commitment to promoting local tourism and empowering the community through culinary arts. By participating in such initiatives, KSU continues to elevate the profile of Kalinga as a promising tourism destination.
