Don Alfred Viloria, a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) fourth-year student from Kalinga State University’s College of Agriculture, emerged as one of the winners in the 2024 Young Farmers Challenge Start-Up Provincial Level Competition.
Viloria’s proposed Azolla Production Enterprise impressed the judges, earning him a start-up grant of Php 80,000 from the Department of Agriculture to fund his agricultural enterprise.
The competition, held on January 23, 2025, at the Golden Berries Hotel and Convention in Tabuk City, showcased innovative proposals from young farmers across the province. The program aims to encourage and support youth involvement in agriculture by providing financial assistance to promising agripreneurial ventures.
