In response to a recent dengue fever outbreak, Kalinga State University Bulanao Campus conducted a comprehensive clean-up drive and misting operation across all campus premises. This initiative was spearheaded by Ms. Sharmaine Codiam, Head of the General Services Office in collaboration with the University Physician, Dr. Maria Linda Gavino of the university Health Services Office and the Provincial Health Office.

As part of this effort, the University Crisis Management Committee ensured thorough cleaning of all campus areas, conducting rigorous monitoring before proceeding with the misting process. The proactive measures aim to reduce, if not entirely eliminate, the breeding grounds for dengue-carrying mosquitoes.

Moving forward, it is anticipated that both employees and students will actively participate in maintaining the cleanliness of university premises to help prevent future outbreaks and promote a healthy campus environment.
