To gain insights into the current records management practices and systems, the Kalinga State University records and archives section conducted benchmarking at Isabela State University, Echague, Isabela and Cagayan State University, Andrews Campus on April 4, 2025.

According to Ms. Nadia K. Bagtang, Head of the Records and Archives section, specific activities during the benchmarking include evaluation of records and archives concerns, identification and adoption of best practices, review and improvement of procedural manuals, and assessment of forms, stamps and security features.

This initiative forms part of the university’s continuous efforts to modernize its records management system in alignment with national standards and institutional goals.
