The Professional Regulatory Board of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering conducted an inspection and monitoring to the Program of Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, today February 26, 2025. The event was held at the Alumni Center, Bulanao Campus. Spearheaded by the College Dean, Dr. Ronald U. Wacas and organized by the BSABE Faculty members. Attended by the PRBABE Chairman, Hon. Ariodear C. Rico, KSU officials, BSABE Faculty and Students.

The inspection aims to look into the conditions affecting the practice of the agricultural and Biosystems engineering professions, and to effectively implement and enforce the provisions of RA No. 10915 through the conduct of ocular inspections and monitoring in concerned offices, plants or establishments, both public and private, and Higher Education Institutions.

In his welcome remarks, Dr. Ronald U. Wacas, College Dean, explained that as an institution dedicated to academic excellence and community service, the university is deeply committed to supporting the development of competent and ethical professionals in the field. He emphasized that the ocular inspections and monitoring activities in the program will undoubtedly provide valuable insights and guidance to align the programs and practices with the national and international standards.

University President, Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor, represented by Dr. Marilou Adora, Vice President for Academics and Student Development, expressed university’s gratefulness for this opportunity and ensured that the students are not only equipped with the technical skills and knowledge they need but also imbued with a deep sense of responsibility to contribute to the development of the communities.

Hon. Ariodear C. Rico, PRBABE Chairman, presented the scope and procedures highlighting the Republic Act No. 10915 (The Philippine Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Act of 2016) and its function, likewise the purpose of their ocular inspection, and the findings and recommendations.

Part of the visits was the presentation of the institutional profile, ABE education competitiveness road map, licensure examination performance and research and development extension programs by Engr. Andy B. Mulato.
