President Doctor awards KSU Employees for Exemplary Integrity and Service
Three non-teaching employees were awarded certificates of recognition from the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE). Said recognitions were awarded by the University President, Dr. Joy Grace P. Doctor today, October 21, 2024, during the flag raising ceremony.
Ms. Jenevieve M. Collantes was commended for her exemplary honesty after finding and returning the watch of Mr. Steve Jack A. Cidro. Likewise, Mr. Elmer B. Amaclas, a security guard, for finding and returning the wallet of Mr. Jeremy Clint F. Alunday and Mr. Jimmy B. Timmango for finding and returning the android phone of Mrs. Gemma B. Waggawag. These acts of honesty and responsibility reflect the university’s core values of service orientation and commitment, setting a high standard for ethical conduct within the KSU community.
During the interview, Ms. Sharmaine Codiam, Head of the General Services Office, shared that she personally provides cash incentives to deserving employees under her supervision. This initiative, which she funds out of her own pocket, serves as a motivational gesture to encourage and recognize their hard work and dedication.
Meanwhile, President Doctor also recognized employees who demonstrated exemplary punctuality in fulfilling their responsibilities in the university.
A spot award is a spontaneous acknowledgment of outstanding performance and exemplary behavior, reflecting the university’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and integrity among its employees.
