The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is conducting SUC Fair 2024, which is scheduled July 9-11, 2024, at KCC Mall de Zamboanga. This year’s theme, “Weaving Culture and Innovation for a Transformative, Resilient, and Globally recognized Philippine Higher Education,” underscores the fair’s commitment to advancing higher education, research, and development through innovation and cultural preservation.

The CHED-initiated SUC Fair is an annual event hosted by a selected SUC. It serves as a platform to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of stakeholders nationwide in the field of higher education. The fair also marks the celebration of CHED’s anniversary, with a special focus on exploring strategies to navigate the global landscape through innovation, cultural and arts preservation, and enhancing the quality of higher education.

The Event Highlights include Parade and Ribbon Cutting: A grand opening ceremony to kickstart the fair, presentation of the SUC Fair 2023 Coffee Table Book: Showcasing achievements and milestones from the previous year.

Competitions include Quintet Vocal Competition: Featuring talented vocal groups from various SUCs, Cultural Show: Highlighting traditional and contemporary cultural performances, Innovation Exhibit and Demonstration (Booth Contest): Displaying innovative projects and research, Research Pitching Competition: Presenting cutting-edge research ideas and findings, Regional Music Video Competition: Showcasing creative and musical talents from different regions and Search for Mr. and Ms. SUC Fair 2024.

The Kalinga State University delegation is led by President Eduardo T. Bagtang, with key representatives Mrs. Lynlyn B. Daluping and Mrs. Leah D. Bartolome. Their participation shows KSU’s dedication to fostering innovation and cultural preservation in higher education.

The SUC Fair 2024 promises to be a significant event, bringing together educators, and stakeholders to celebrate and further the cause of higher education in the Philippines.
