Mission

Kalinga State University shall primarily provide Advanced Education, Higher Technological, Professional Instructions and Training in the Arts, Agriculture, Forestry, Social and Natural Sciences and Technology, and other relevant fields of study. It shall also promote and undertake research and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.

Program Outcome:

Students by the time they graduate should exemplify the following:

Knowledge:

  1. Knowledgeable of contemporary issues, problems and trends in criminology that could be the subject of research;
  2. formulate doable plans, methods, or strategies that are geared towards reduction of crimes and disorders;

Skills:

  1. apply appropriate and legal procedures in dealing with offenders;
  2. Appropriately and effectively apply the necessary procedures in investigating crimes in adherence with the legal provisions;
  3. Properly utilize or use laboratory apparatus that are present in today’s technology;
  4. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using the English Language;
  5. Apply the research methods and statistics in its quest for excellence;
  6. Practice the knowledge or technology generated from research;

Values:

  1. Treat offenders, prisoners or inmates in observance with humane manner and in adherence to the limits of laws;
  2. Introduce innovative aspects of transformation and reformation of offenders;
  3. Possess values and leadership that is inherent in the profession;
